Though all of our puppies are of very high genetic quality, most will be sold with non-breeding contracts except to qualified breeders or co-owners. We feel very responsible for the puppies we have bred and seek the very best quality of life for them. That quality is greatly enhanced by finding good matches between dog and owner. The best new owners are those who are willing to put the effort into training their new puppy and thereby giving them mental as well as physical exercise. I will not place puppies in homes where they will be crated during the day for more than 4 hours total (except at night for sleeping). I also expect that the puppies will not be left alone for more than four hours daily. Puppies need human contact and interaction in order to be socialized properly and to become bonded to their owners. Older dogs benefit greatly as well by constant human companionship and you should take that into account as you consider a puppy.
Please fill out our Broadmead Labrador Puppy Owner Questionnaire.pdf and email it to me if you are interested in one of our puppies.
